Company Description :
The A.P. Public Service Commission came into existence on 1 st November, 1956 with the formation of theState of Andhra Pradesh . Before this, there was AndhraPublic Service Commission in the Andhra State and Hyderabad Public Service Commission in the Hyderabad State . Andhra Service Commission came into existence only in 1953 after the bifurcation of composite Madras State into Andhra and Madras States .
On the eve of formation of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, Andhra Public Service Commission wasfunctioning with a Chairman and two Members and Hyderabad Public Service Commission was functioning with one Member. Hence, A.P. Public Service Commission wasconstituted with a Chairman and 3 Members. With increasing work load, Government enhanced the strength of the Commission to Chairman and 5 Members in the year 1981 and later to Chairman and 7 Members in the year 1983. Government again reviewed the strength in 1994 and enhanced it to Chairman and 9 Members. Thisis the present strength also.
Job Role : Forest Range Officers in A.P. Forest Service
Job Qualification :
(i)Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or Provincial Act or a State Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission; or any equivalent qualification in the following subjects:
(1) Agriculture
(2) Botany
(3) Chemistry
(4) Computer Applications/Computer Science
(5) Engineering (Agriculture/Chemical/Civil/Computer/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical)
(6) Environmental Science
(7) Forestry
(8) Geology
(9) Horticulture
(10) Mathematics
(11) Physics
(12) Statistics
(13) Veterinary Science
(14) Zoology
(ii) Physical Requirements: No person shall be eligible forappointment by Direct Recruitment unless:
For Men:
1. He is not less than 163 Cms. in height;
2. He has 79 Cms. around the Chest on expiration andmust have on full inspiration, an expansion of
not less than 5 Cms. and
3. He is able to walk 25 Kms. in Four (4) hours.
For Women:
1. She is not less than 150 Cms. in height;
2. She has 74 Cms. around the chest on expiration and must have on full inspiration, an expansion of
not less than 5 Cms. and
3. She is able to walk 16 Kms.in four (4) hours
N.B: Common for Men and Women Must undergo a medical Examination to be conducted by the
Medical Board at Hyderabad and produce a health certificate signed by the Medical Board in the form prescribed by Article 49 of theCivil Service Regulation testifying to the candidates sound hearing and general physical fitness for out door work in the Forest Departmentand to the fact that he bears on his body marks of successful vaccination.
Provided further that in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes and races such as Gurkhas, Nepalese, Assamese, Meghalaya, Ladakh, Nagaland, Manipuri, Goutha, Kashmir, Sikkimese, Bhutanese and Tripura, the minimum standard of height shall be as follows:
Men : 152 Cms.
Women: 145 Cms
Salary : Rs. 15,280/- to 40,510/-
Start Date : 03/04/2012
Last Date : 03/05/2012
30/04/2012 is the last date for payment of fee.
The written examination will be held on 03/06/2012
